Lockdown Therapy Hub

Lockdown Therapy Hub

At the time of writing this we are a week into the second lockdown of 2020. We have been very fortunate, as a healthcare practice, to be able to continue our work in treating patients within Wokingham and the surrounding areas. Other therapists, however, have not been as lucky due to restriction placed upon the venues in which they work.

Many highly qualified and amazing therapists who rent gym space, a room in a beauty therapy clinic or a well-being hub have been forced to close through no fault of their own.

It is our understanding that with certain governing bodies (for example, the Federation of Holistic Therapists), some branches of manual therapy are able to continue treating clients if they are explicitly doing so with the intention of supporting their clients’ urgent mental or physical health condition or injury while working in a suitable environment alongside statutory regulated health professionals (like osteopaths). Of course this excludes gyms, beauty salons and many home clinics.

We feel that manual therapy is incredibly important for clients, especially in a world where we are more physically disconnected than ever before.

We would like to offer the usage of our relaxing treatment room to those therapists who need temporary sanctuary for even a few hours a week to keep their clients happy and their bills paid. We welcome sports therapists, sports massage therapists, deep tissue massage therapists and others who have the goal of keeping their clients healthy and providing continuation of care to maintain the client lists that they have worked so hard to build over their career.

As we’re a very hands-on clinic we’d love to welcome sports massage therapists, sports therapists and other manual therapists. Please get in touch via the contact form.
