What influenced you to study and practice Sports Therapy?
I have always been interested in sport growing up, both playing and spectating. The human body is amazing and after finishing my undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science I knew I wanted to learn more. I have encountered injuries myself and through that recovery process I was inspired to further my understanding of injury rehabilitation and prevention. I care about people and to be able to help individuals to get back to and remain in sport/activity is something I am passionate about.
What is your treatment style?
I am a friendly and caring practitioner. My treatment style is patient focused, using a combination of hands on treatment with exercise rehabilitation. This is coupled with patient education, which I feel enables me to assist each individual with their recovery and facilitate them to achieve their goals.
Tell us something about yourself
I play underwater hockey, which sounds like a crazy sport but is really good fun!
I am fairly new to the area since moving up from Cornwall so I’m looking forward to exploring what Berkshire has to offer.
